Our Recyclable Materials:

For our recyclable products, we have chosen SMS non-woven polypropylene.
Polypropylene is recyclable due to its chemical structure, which allows it to melt and be reformed into new shapes. Non-woven polypropylene fabrics can be collected, sorted, and processed into polypropylene granules.
 
These granules can then be used as raw material for the manufacture of new polypropylene products, such as packaging, textile fibers, or industrial products. Being non-woven, the filaments are thermally bonded, often through a calendering process.
 
 

Our Biodegradable Materials:

At Kit Linge, we work with three different materials: Bamboo fiber, Eucalyptus fiber, and plant-based viscose.
 
Bamboo Fiber: Bamboo fiber fabric is considered biodegradable due to the nature of the materials used in its manufacturing. Bamboo fiber is primarily composed of cellulose, which is an organic substance found in the cell walls of plants. Cellulose is naturally biodegradable, meaning it can decompose naturally under the influence of microorganisms present in the environment.
 
Eucalyptus: The manufacturing process of Tencel (fabric made from eucalyptus fibers) is more environmentally friendly compared to other fiber manufacturing methods. Tencel production requires less water and energy than the production of many other fibers, which reduces its overall environmental impact.
 
Plant-based Viscose: Plant-based viscose is made from wood pulp, bamboo, eucalyptus, or other plant materials.
